Experience Engineering and Technology Day is a chance for you to learn about everything that Ohio University's Russ College of Engineering and Technology has to offer. Whether you're considering a major in aviation, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, energy engineering, engineering technology and management, industrial and systems engineering or mechanical engineering, Experience Engineering and Technology Day is the perfect next step.

  • Learn about our majors, dedicated centers and cutting-edge research opportunities.
  • Explore the Russ College alongside our student ambassadors and leaders who are solving problems both globally and locally.
  • Meet with faculty to hear about the classes, undergraduate research and internships that will prepare you for your career in engineering and technology.

Undergraduate Admissions Welcome | 9:30 a.m.

Russ College Welcome | 10 a.m.
Learn about what the Russ College of Engineering and Technology has to offer, and hear from faculty, administrators and current students.

Student Academic Session I | 10:45 a.m.
Participate in hands-on activities related to your academic interest area.

Parent and Family Session I | 10:45 a.m.
Learn about the Russ College majors, graduation, job opportunities, and academic activities.

Lunch | 11:45 a.m.
Enjoy lunch (on us!) with representatives from your academic interest area.

Afternoon Session Options

Student Academic Session II | 1 p.m.
If you have a second academic interest area, select this session to participate in hands-on activities related to another academic interest area.

Campus Walking Tour | 1 & 2 p.m.
Choose from two departure times to take a walking tour of campus, led by a student tour guide.

Russ College Facilities Tour | 1 p.m.
Tour the Russ College’s state-of-the-art facilities in Stocker Center and the Academic Research Center (ARC).

Engineering Success: Insights from Employers and Internships | 1 p.m.
Learn about the Russ College student experience and extra-curriculars and connect with Russ College representatives.

Ohio University Airport Tour for Aviation Students | 3-4 p.m. 
Learn about aviation programs and careers and tour the university's airport. Provide your own transportation to and from the airport, located at 747 Columbia Rd., Albany, OH 45710.

Whether you're interested in a hotel near campus or taking advantage of cabins and camping in gorgeous southeast Ohio, the Athens County Convention and Visitors Bureau is the perfect starting point to find your temporary home away from home.
