History
Dougan House was built in 1970 and used as a residence hall for students. It was originally known as South Green building number 12.
Stanley Dougan
Dougan House was named in honor of Stanley Dougan. A native of Chesterhill, OH, he received his education at Ohio University and Stanford University. He was a well known physician of gynecology and surgery. He was a charter member of Ohio University Athletic Hall of Fame and played professional baseball before going into the field of medicine. He was a life member of the Ohio University Alumni Association.
