History

Parks Hall previously housed Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine's Diabetes Institute.

Parks Hall, built in 1962, was originally used as a residence hall when it first opened. It was originally known as West Green building number 4. Major renovations were made in 1983 and the College of Medicine moved into the building.

George C. Parks

Parks Hall was named in honor of George C. Parks, a 1908 graduate of Ohio University. He served for 40 years as an accounting professor, business manager, treasurer, and secretary of the Board of Trustees.
