The auditorium is used for the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts performances, plays, concerts, recitals, lectures and various functions. Reservations to use the facility can be made by contacting the College of Fine Arts Dean's office.
History
The auditorium, originally the Amusement building, built in 1900 was used for chapel services, meetings, movies, activity therapy, and recreation purposes for the patients of the hospital.

The Ridges Green
The Ridges is on the hill across the Hocking River from the West Green. This part of the Athens Campus was previously the Athens Mental Health Center, a regional psychiatric hospital. Notable buildings on this green include Lin Hall, Kennedy Museum and Ridges Auditorium.
