The Ohio University College of Business rankings are our Points of Pride. We are honored to be consistently nationally recognized for our faculty and staff's work in research and academics. We are teaching our students firsthand to do "Business for Good." The work outside of the classroom is just as important as we strive to better the lives of our students and the Athens community.

The College of Business prides itself on teaching and learning through experiences. The authentic art of experiential learning excels our students forward with a deepened skillset and is highly sought after by top companies worldwide. 70% of COB courses offer applied experiential learning while stacking those experiences brings that number closer to 100%.

    Experience OHIO: Southern Ohio Copperheads


    Copperheads Baseball is a student-run organization that provides experiential learning opportunities for students to build their careers in fields such as journalism, marketing, sport management, and more. Copperhead's staff consists of college students from Ohio University ranging from freshmen to graduate students, preparing for a future working in sports.

    Experience OHIO: Global Consulting Program


    The Global Consulting Program develops students’ global business leadership skills through cross-cultural immersion and applied business experience. With over eight exciting locations to choose from, students have direct consulting experience for a major international company.

All students within the College of Business are provided with a support system of faculty, advisors, career coaches, and peer mentors. In the 2022 fall semester alone, Business Academic Advising & Career Services hosted over 4000 appointments! As a result, our 2022 graduating class had a 93% placement rate within six months of graduation.

    Centers of Excellence join forces for professional clothing drive


    The College of Business Centers of Excellence recently led a combined effort to encourage faculty, staff, and students to clean out their closets and donate any lightly used and in-season professional clothing to the Career Closet.

    DEI Detroit Trip


    In honor of Black History Month, the Ohio University College of Business sponsored a student networking and cultural exploration trip to Detroit, Michigan.

    Annual Eco Impact Challenge


    The Eco Impact Challenge is a semester-long, cross-disciplinary, team-based leadership experiential simulation focused on sustainability. In teams of five to seven, students work on a real-world sustainability issue on the Athens campus or surrounding community by envisioning a solution to a problem, working with community stakeholders, and presenting a business pitch for their solution.
