Professional Experience

William A. Dillingham attended Ohio University from 1962-65, then served in the Army from 1966-69 before returning to OU to complete his degree. He is the president of Buckeye Business Products, which manufactures computer supplies. He was named president after Buckeye Business Products purchased PUBCO where he was senior vice president. Before working with Buckeye Business Products and PUBCO, Mr. Dillingham served as the president of Century Wholesale Co. and of Hornsby’s Stores, both of which were bought by PUBCO. Mr. Dillingham has been very interested in Ohio University since he graduated. He is a regular visitor to campus and has given advice for the Phonathon program. He was a member of the National Alumni Board, serving on the Athletic Assistance and Faculty & Institutional Relations committees. He had to resign due to business commitments. He was active in the Third Century Campaign, serving on the National Campaign Council and the Major Gifts Committee for Athletics, contributing to the campaign and attending several functions. He currently serves on the Intercollegiate Athletics Development Committee, and a room in the Stadium Tower honors him. He has been a member of the Thomas Ewing Society since 1987 and the Trustees’ Academy since 1985. He has been involved with the Cleveland Green & White club since 1974, serving as president. He is also a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He is supportive of community athletics and was named “Sandlot Backer of the Year” in 1992. He has been active in the Cleveland Cancer Society and the Cleveland Jaycees. He is also a member of the Cleveland Men’s Club.
