College of Business

It's not about one experience, it's about all of them.

At Ohio University’s College of Business, we understand that it takes more than one great internship or even a degree to build a successful career – that’s why our approach ensures students get the multiple, varied experiences required to build not only the business acumen but the soft skills that deliver lifelong results. Students serve inside and outside the classroom as team leaders and contributors, travel beyond their communities and comfort zones, lead real-world projects for business partners, and yes, nail that “wow factor” internship or graduate capstone.

We work with students to create layered, personalized plans and comprehensive, diverse experiences that build the know-how and character it takes to disrupt, impact and lead any organization forever forward.

When it comes to rankings and accolades, our college is consistently ranked and recognized among the country’s best business schools. Behind these consistently impressive numbers is a team of distinguished educators driven to provide programs, support, and an incomparable educational experience.

Experience(s) required.

Every business student today knows that the career role they want demands relevant experience. The best candidates understand that this extends far beyond the lines on a resume — they need to show recruiters and hiring managers not only that they can do the job, but that they can communicate, organize, problem-solve, collaborate, and lead. OHIO College of Business builds these universally in-demand attributes in our graduates to ensure success not just for that first job, but throughout a lifelong career path, even though ever-changing industries and life's many unexpected turns.

Our Business Academic Advising & Career Services center has close connections and partners with many leading companies for internships and full-time employment. And when they are looking for talented professionals ready to make an impact in the business world, they call on us. This means our students often have access to representatives from companies like:

Ohio University’s sixth Giving Day kicks off at midnight on Wednesday, April 2, inviting alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends to celebrate all Ohio University has been and is, by giving to the funds that matter most to you and to current and future Bobcats. Our goal this year is 3,110 donors. Together, we can ensure OHIO’s next era is the best one yet.
Between new findings on ancient hominins' arrival in Europe, recognition in the sciences, publications, conference presentations, grants and awards, OHIO faculty had a busy winter season.
Now in its 10th year, the Center for Consumer Research and Analytics supports business needs through experiential learning for students.
