Admissions Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science with undergraduate chemistry courses (typically one year general chemistry, one year organic chemistry, and one semester of calculus) from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or equivalent
• GPA (or equivalent) of 3.0 or better in most recent degree program
• Three letters of recommendation
• Statement of purpose that:
  • Includes a brief description of chemistry area(s) of interest (e.g., Analytical, Biochemistry, Inorganic, Organic, Physical Chemistry)
    • Specifically states that you are applying to the online master's program
• Official Transcripts of all academic work must be submitted with the online application
• Resume, which must include a list of every school attended, as well as the GPA obtained at each institution
• English Proficiency: Please review information about Ohio University’s English Language Proficiency requirements
• A $50 application fee is associated with the submission of your application for this program.
