The Economics Department's biggest fundraising priorities are student scholarships and funds for internships, research, and experiential learning. Below is a list of current funds you can support today with an online gift.
General Support
- Flexible support for the department’s most pressing needs
The Dr. Richard Vedder Distinguished Professor of Economics Emeritus Support Fund
- Supports the study of American economic history
- Endowed fund that broadly supports the activities of the department
Engagement
Department of Economics Experiential Learning Fund
- Provides experiential learning opportunities (field trips, research, study abroad, etc.) for undergraduates
- Supports a lecture series on the history of economics
Student Scholarships
Dr. Ismail Ghazalah Scholarship
- Non-endowed scholarship in honor of Emeriti Professor Dr. Ismail Ghazalah
Eldon L. Hall Jr., and Susan Hall Scholarship Fund in Economics
- Scholarships for full-time undergraduates
The John and Susan Schmidt Scholarship
- Scholarship for Economics majors
Jeph and Zoe Martin Scholarship in Economics
- Full-time juniors or seniors
- Scholarship for students with academic merit
Ernest and Mary Minichello Scholarship
- First priority for an HTC Economics major, second preference for an Arts & Sciences Economics major
The Charles Clifford Finch Scholarship
- Scholarship for Economics students
- Scholarship for juniors, seniors, and graduate students for writing outstanding research papers
Dr. Rosemary Rossiter Scholarship for Economics
- Undergraduate students with financial need
The Herbert G. Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Scholarship for students with academic merit and financial need
- Award for students with academic merit. Established in memory of former faculty member, Gene Chapin.
