Preparing for Graduate School
History majors at Ohio University have the opportunity to work with full-time faculty who are noted for their exceptional teaching abilities and have reputations as accomplished scholars.
History Majors have dedicated faculty advisers who are available to coach them through course selection, applying for internships, scholarships, prizes, and graduate school, and in general helping them make the most of their academic experience. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with their advisers regularly and to integrate themselves into a vibrant community of learning.
Recent History majors have been accepted to Georgetown University Law Center, the Intelligence and Security Summer School at Cambridge University (United Kingdom), the M.A. program in Intelligence and International Security at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky.
