Plant Bio Students Aim for Color, Biodiversity on Radar Hill

Will Ohio University Plant Biology students bring colorful wildflowers and biodiversity to Radar Hill, planting seeds on a pasture-like hilltop little changed over the decades?

Dr. Jared DeForest took his Restoration Ecology undergraduate students to the Ridges Land Lab near campus for a hands-on project.

They did their research, sorted their seeds, and then one cold spring day they headed to the top of Radar Hill, a rare spring snow falling as they shoveled away weeds and planted.
