Welcome from the Dean

As Dean of the Campus and Community Relations at Ohio University Chillicothe, I want to welcome you to our campus. We realize that students have many choices these days when it comes to furthering their education. We believe OHIO Chillicothe stands out from the rest by offering a dynamic educational experience in a friendly, engaging, and accessible setting. On the Chillicothe campus, our motto is “Serving our students and serving our region.” More than just a slogan, this is our commitment to offer a great educational experience that brings students to their promise and their potential.

Our campus, services, and classes provide a student-centered experience. This personal approach distinguishes OHIO Chillicothe, as students regularly note that their professors are eager to help them and take a vested interest in their success. There is no “getting lost in a crowd” at OHIO Chillicothe. We work hard to get to know students so that we can properly support and guide them toward achieving their goals. Indeed, we pride ourselves on this kind of personalized attention. On our campus we recognize that every student is unique, so whether students are recent high school graduates or those who have been out of the classroom for several years, they will find a supportive environment built and dedicated to helping them succeed.

Moreover, our healthy mix of traditional students and adult learners enriches interactions at OHIO Chillicothe, for the diverse student body ensures an interesting and wide-ranging exchange of viewpoints.

In addition to an excellent faculty and staff committed to student success, OHIO Chillicothe maintains modern and up-to-date instructional facilities that enhance individual and group learning. We also offer a variety of extracurricular programs and student organizations to provide a fulsome collegiate experience for our students.
