Seema Mahato, Ph.D. in Educational Research and Evaluation
Introduction
Dr. Seema Mahato is currently the Evaluation and Assessment Manager at the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement at Washington University in St. Louis.
She joined Washington University in St. Louis in June 2022 as the institute’s lead specialist and collaborator in assessment, evaluation, and research to inform program design, implementation, continuous improvement, and organizational learning. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Research and Evaluation (EDRE) and a Master’s in Public Administration at Ohio University. She has been actively engaged in professional and community service alongside formal evaluation work. She has served in leadership roles in professional organizations such as the American Evaluation Association (AEA), the Ohio Program Evaluator’s Group (OPEG); and in the local community as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow and an AACTE Holmes Scholar.
Seema received the Outstanding Young Evaluator Award in 2022 from OPEG (Ohio Program Evaluators’ Group).
