Personal Quote

The EDRE program allowed me to enhance my knowledge and skills in different research methods, especially mixed methods research. I was specialized in the field of instructional design and technology while pursing my master’s degree in EDRE, and realized the benefits of conducting MMR to address the complexity of research topics in the field of instructional design and technology. Also, I appreciated the opportunity to work with researchers and methodologists from various fields on different research projects and to build lifelong relationships with them even after graduation. The presentations and projects I have done with my fellow students and professors also helped me build my C.V. and secure positions in academia.

Advice to current and future Educational Research (EDRE) students

You made a right choice to join the EDRE program, which is definitely worthwhile. In the program, you will not only develop competencies in research methodology and engage in research projects and presentations but also build strong relationships with your professors, advisors, and fellow students. Knowledge and skills in research methods are fundamental in almost every field you are pursuing, which will open up various job opportunities for you in the future. Also, never forget to enjoy the learning journey in the program.
