Tuition and Billing
Tuition Bills/Bill Adjustment
Your tuition is based on the number of credit hours for which you are enrolled. A tuition and fee table can be found on the Bursar's website. Tuition bills are issued electronically, and you will receive notification through the MY OHIO portal when a tuition bill has been generated. Payment can be made online through your e-account. You can also mail payment to Ohio University or pay in person at the Bursar's Office in Athens (Chubb Hall) or a regional campus.
Residency Changes for Tuition Billing
Tuition rates differ for in-state and out-of-state students because out-of-state students are required to pay a surcharge. Out-of-state students may qualify for in-state tuition rates by declaring Ohio residency. Out-of-state students who wish to declare Ohio residency should contact the Graduate College (740-593-2800) for the application. Guidelines for declaring Ohio residency can be found on the Admissions website.
Employee Fee Waivers
Educational Benefit forms for eligible employees, spouses, or children may be obtained from the Human Resources website and scroll to Educational Benefit, Employee. To receive a fee waiver, you must complete and submit an eligibility form.
University Health Insurance
If you register for seven or more hours you are required to purchase university health insurance unless you have some other form of insurance coverage. To request a waiver, you must complete an insurance waiver form. For information on the health insurance benefits or the waiver process, visit (click “Waiver”) or contact the Bursar's Office in Chubb Hall at 740-593-4130.
