Principal Preparation Programs
The Principal Preparation Program is Nationally Recognized by the Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC), which is a premier accreditation organization for Educational Administration Programs. Through a balanced approach of online and in-class instruction, the program offers coursework and internships required for obtaining an Ohio principal’s license.
Superintendent Licensure
The Superintendent Licensure Program includes a balanced approach of online and in-class instruction which is coupled with internships. The program, which can be completed in twelve months, focuses on the managerial, planning/leadership, and human relations responsibilities of district leaders.
Master's in Counselor Education
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) specialization prepares graduates in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders by addressing emotional, cognitive, and behavioral processes with an integrated counseling approach. The regional cohort program offers the CMHC specialization for full-time working professionals on the Chillicothe campus.

Doctorate in Higher Education
Ohio University has offered the only doctoral program in higher education and student affairs in southeast Ohio for fifty years. The weekend, executive program provides a rich alternative to our traditional on-campus program, which is distinctive in its own right for the varied curriculum and opportunities to collaborate with faculty and engage in research projects through the Center for Higher Education.
