Mia Wilson
Hometown: Ironton, OH
Expected Graduation: Spring 2019
Mia originally chose Ohio University for its financial aid assistance, course offerings, and location. However, she soon realized those reasons weren’t what motivated her to stay a Bobcat – OHIO was her home away from home.
A member of the Society of Women Engineers, Mia is former president of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She has worked on research projects with faculty members, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and interned with Sandia National Laboratories and the Harley Davidson Motor Company.
Outside of the classroom, she watches movies, goes hiking, and rides anything with two wheels.
