Mollie Whitacre

Hometown: Perrysburg, Ohio

Expected Graduation: Spring 2018

Mollie grew up in a small suburb outside of Toledo, Ohio. She knew right away that Ohio University was a perfect fit for her. It blended well with her hobby of being outdoors, while still having a small city vibe.

At first, Mollie thought she wanted to major in business but realized her interests were with computer science. She’s pursuing a career in cybersecurity or information technology and wants to work for a small business after college.

Apart from being an Engineering Ambassador, Mollie stays involved with the community through volunteering at Athens Books to Prisoners and the Athens Community Center. She was also a member of Women’s Varsity Soccer and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In her free time, she loves to go fishing and spend hours exploring new areas around Athens.
