Nathan Arnett
Expected Graduation: Spring 2018
Hometown: Lucasville, Ohio
Nathan had his sights set on Athens and Ohio University from an early age. Because his father is an OHIO alumnus, Nathan grew up regularly attending Bobcat football and basketball games. He became even more familiar with the campus when his older brother decided to call Ohio University home. When it came time to look at colleges, Nathan decided to become a Bobcat—and to this day, he has not regretted it for one minute.
Aside from being an Engineering Ambassador, Nathan is also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). He works in the lab of OHIO-Goll Eminent and Distinguished Professor of Molecular Biology John Kopchick at the Edison Biotechnology Institute, where he conducts research in molecular biology.
Nathan's ultimate goal is to enter medical school next fall, where his degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering will serve as a strong academic foundation. The ethics and desire to create for good instilled by the Russ College of Engineering and Technology will continue to help him pay it forward.
