Eli Lopuchovsky
Eli is a junior in the aviation flight program at the Russ College of Engineering and is also pursuing minors in aviation management and geography-meteorology. He is from Youngstown, Ohio, a small town located southeast of Cleveland. Eli was intrigued by the acclaimed flight program that Ohio University offered. He visited the campus and was instantly amazed by the beauty and community that is offered here at Ohio University. After visiting the university airport, Eli quickly realized that OHIO would be the best place to call home.
Eli has always had an interest in aviation, as he loves to travel the world, and decided to pursue an education in a field he felt passionately about. He quickly decided that aviation was something he would be able to look forward to every day of his undergraduate career. This is Eli’s first year as a Russ College Engineering Ambassador, and he is also currently a member of OHIO’s chapter of Women in Aviation. Eli has worked at the Ohio University Airport since his first year at OHIO, starting as a van driver freshman year and then as a dispatcher his sophomore year. For the current Fall 2023 semester, Eli is an Intern at the Ohio University Airport.
Eli has received his Private Pilot’s Certificate and Instrument Rating and is excited to begin working towards his Commercial Pilot Certificate. When Eli isn't at the airport, he enjoys eating at Ginger, spending time with friends, and visiting Strouds Run Park.
