Spencer Caputo
Spencer Caputo is a senior Interior Architecture student from Cleveland, Ohio. Spencer has always been a creative but wanted to impact people's lives more than he could through just the arts. He also appreciates mathematics and all things analytical, making Interior Architecture the perfect path for him as both an art and a science.
His thesis project revolves around creating the ideal independent living community for seniors. His love for his grandparents and experience with their life transitions inspired this project's concept. Many senior citizens struggle with loneliness, lack of purpose, and an overall decline in quality of life. We will all age, so helping now will preventatively secure the good health of our future selves and loved ones. The goal of this project is to create an ideal environment for seniors to thrive, make connections, and continue living a life of purpose.
In addition to his Interior Architecture degree, Spencer will graduate with a minor in Psychology and Studio Art. Post graduation, he plans to commence his design career in his hometown. He looks forward to spending more time with his big family and entering the real world as a new young professional.
