Born in Neptune, New Jersey, I’ve learned to call other places home such as Savannah, and Atlanta, Georgia, as well as Cleveland OH. With such a nomadic lifestyle I found myself constantly adjusting to my surroundings, this affected me tremendously. From elementary to senior year of high school, I went to a different school for every grade. Leaving behind friends, memories and mentors, I encountered myself wanting to have a certain extent of control over my life. I found that through rearranging my room repeatedly. That pivotal moment navigated me to Ohio University pursuing a degree in Interior Design, followed by minors in Marketing, Studio Art, Business Administration and a Certificate in Project Management. With these accomplishments I envision myself providing funding and design to low-income groups that receive neglected resources and opportunities.
Like my aspirations, Full- Cycle, my thesis embodies my dreams and goals. With an overwhelming shortage of skilled tradespeople and the increasing statistic of student debt within low-income communities. Full Cycle will not only fund but provide proper educational benefits and training in the field of Skilled Trades. With the negative connotation about Trades, Full- Cycle’s goal is to provide resources while educating the mass about the financial freedom trades offer. Within the establishment, students will be presented with opportunities to show their skills through crafted work, showcasing in a large showroom. This will provide a source of revenue for Full-Cycle, but also prove to students that their work has value. However, the main goal is to create a sense of community, many students will be required to exercise an annual goal of public service hours within their community. This enforce a sense of purpose, work-driven and community within a neglected group creating a Full- Cycle.
