Growing up in the urban environment of Cincinnati, Ohio, my passion for interior design flourished as I immersed myself in the creative process of rearranging and decorating indoor spaces around my childhood home. This longing passion fueled my commitment to pursuing Interior Architecture at Ohio University, where I expanded my knowledge with minors in business and studio art, alongside earning a project management certificate. Holding leadership roles, such as President of the Interior Design student organization and ambassador for the School of Art + Design, enhanced my academic journey. Post-graduation, my focus is on contributing to a residential firm in Ohio, as a basis for my career as a designer. With aspirations to specialize in crafting unique spaces like campers or vacation rentals, I am passionate about infusing creativity into functional design throughout my future career.

Driven by a conviction that no human should endure the struggle for basic necessities, I centered my thesis project on creating proper housing for those experiencing homelessness. "Room of Resilience," intends to challenge the homelessness crisis by proposing solutions to enhance the quality of shelters and opportunities to successfully re-enter society. This initiative incorporates the application of evidence-based design research elements that foster a proactive restorative environment, supporting residents along their journey. By shedding light on this overlooked issue, I aim to educate society on the far-reaching effects of homelessness and provide a tangible, holistic solution for improved well-being and the eventual reduction of homelessness.
