My name is Lea Strauss, and I am from Williamstown, West Virginia. Having grown up with a graphic designer as a mom, I was inspired to explore a creative field and found myself interested in interior design. I have always been drawn to the architecture and interior design of buildings. I hoped to create beautiful buildings and spaces like that when I grew up. Now, I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and a minor in Studio Art. I plan to pursue a career in residential design so I can help people create beautiful homes for themselves. 

My thesis project is a mental healthcare facility called The Monarch Mental Health Center. Many people across the world struggle with one or more forms of mental health illnesses. This can be improved through proper care and functional interior design that caters to their needs. The Monarch Mental Health Center aims to provide a soothing environment to help those who struggle with mental health issues.
