Michael Williamson grew up in central Ohio and has had a lifelong love of film. He graduated from Capital University in Columbus with a BA in Electronic Media and Film and, after college, began a career in journalism. After working part-time as a staff writer, he worked his way to being a full-time reporter for a county daily paper and eventually became the editor of the paper. Although he enjoyed his time in news, he decided to return to his pursuit of filmmaking thanks to the endless support and encouragement from his wonderful wife, Samantha. His filmmaking influences come from all corners of cinema, ranging from Frank Capra to John Carpenter and beyond. He hopes to eventually write and direct his own films.
