String Day
The event will host guest artists and engage both current students and prospective students in masterclasses, workshops, and performance.
This will be a day long event. Guests artists (violin/viola/cello/bass) will work with current OU students in masterclasses and teach workshops. Current faculty will work with prospective students, teach workshops, and lead rehearsals for the concert. The concert will consist of three parts. First, a large, easy orchestral work which includes all participants (prospective students, current OU students, faculty members, and guest artists). Second, a chamber orchestra work comprised of current OU students, faculty, and guest artists. The final component will include faculty and guest artist performances.
