John Horne teaches guitar methods and a variety of jazz courses for Ohio University including coaching Ohio University Jazz Combo I.

He also runs a private teaching practice in Athens and has taught lessons, classes, and workshops for a variety of colleges and arts organizations including: Athens Community Music School, Hocking College, the University of Rio Grande, National Guitar Workshop, Artsbridge, and the Ohio Arts Council.

John also performs regularly with his jazz trio and as a sideman and soloist.
