    Arts Administration


    Through mentorship, experiential and community-engaged learning opportunities, an examination of access and equity in the arts, and career readiness, students are equipped to lead arts and cultural organizations, navigate unique challenges in the nonprofit sector, and advocate for policies, resources, and programs that support arts organizations.

    Arts in Health


    Arts in Health is a fast-growing new field in the United States creating meaningful experiences in the arts for communities engaged in health related services and settings. This program provides opportunities for visual and performing artists of all kinds to learn practical skills and advanced knowledge to apply their arts practice in the mental health, public health and medical settings.

Master in Education: Prepare to Teach

    Art Education


    Become a certified art teacher in less than a year through this collaboration between Ohio University Patton College of Education and School of Art + Design. Empower the next generation of young creative thinkers through the arts, while starting a new career in art education.

    Music Education


    Become a more skillful teacher of music and more effective music administrator in one year. This degree program prepares students for permanent teaching certification with coursework in music education, music theory, music history, jazz studies and applied music (including conducting). Explore the fully online option for the working adult.

    Theater Education


    Prepares theater teachers through a research-based dynamic curriculum focusing on the development of professional knowledge, skills and dispositions. Students in this 3-semester program complete a professional internship and research project as they prepare to teach grades preK-12 with licensure through the Patton College and the School of Theater.

Fine Arts 5th-Year Guarantee:

Current undergraduate students who graduate with an undergraduate degree from the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts and continue directly into one of the Fine Arts one-year master's programs will pay a discounted tuition rate, typically less than the tuition charge for their senior year.
