Shihao is from China. He just finished his BA in Film & Digital Arts at University of New Mexico. The first film that blew his mind is actually Avatar in 3D but he soon found Wong Kar-wai, Quentin Tarantino and lately Jean Pierre Melville. He plans to look at Nagisa Oshima, Luis Bunuel and film noir. He is writing a paper mainly on Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill 1 & 2 this semester. Orientalism, the Director as DJ and ultra violence are some keywords of the paper.
