Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Devin is a singer, pianist, storyteller, educator, and arts activist. Devin holds two degrees from Ohio University, a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Conducting, and a Masters of Arts Administration in Theatre and Production Management, where he wrote his thesis on ‘Anti-Racism in the Arts: 5 Questions Every Arts Administrator Should Ask Themselves, and Why’.
Devin is currently activated as the Director of Arts Education at Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville Ohio, which is home to traditional lands of the Shawnee, Adena, and Hopewell peoples. As a musician and community activist, Devin has served on various local boards of arts organizations, and fulfills his civic duty by serving on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, and as the Secretary of the City of Athens Municipal Arts Commission (AMAC). Devin is proud to have been living in Appalachia for the past decade and to be creatively collaborating with the southeastern Ohio communities.
