Science Café to feature Brian Clark on Dec. 4
Ohio University’s Science Café will present Professor of Physiology and Neuroscience Brian Clark discussing “Live Longer – Live Stronger!” on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m. at the Baker Center Front Room on the fourth floor of Baker University Center and via You Tube.
Science Café is sponsored jointly by the Ohio University Research Division and the Ohio University chapter of Sigma Xi, the scientific honor society.
During the Dec. 4 event, renowned researcher Clark will share insights from more than 25 years of groundbreaking work on healthy aging.
“Live Longer -- Live Stronger!” will explore the stark reality of how society is currently navigating aging (spoiler: not well) and reveal actionable findings from his research laboratory. From extending health span to adopting evidence-based best practices, this engaging session will provide a roadmap for thriving as we age.
In addition to serving as a professor of physiology and neuroscience in the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Clark also holds the Clybourne Endowed Research Chair.
As executive director of the Ohio Musculoskeletal and Neurological Institute (OMNI) for the past 16 years, he has led pioneering research on aging and health. With nearly 200 published scientific articles, ~15,000 citations, and over $30 million in grant funding as principal investigator, Clark’s work has made a lasting impact.
In addition, he has mentored dozens of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, ensuring the next generation continues to advance the science of healthy living.
