50th Anniversary Celebrations with Chubu University

President Lori Stewart Gonzalez and President Yoshimi Takeuchi sign a renewal Memorandum of Understanding during celebrations to mark the 50th Anniversary of institutional partnership between OHIO and Chubu.

Current director (2023) of the Chubu Center for International Affairs, Dr. Tadashi Shiozawa, leads the first group of Chubu students for the Ohio Program of Intensive English Choki language program.

56 E. Union, formerly the Burson House, was renovated and expanded thanks to a generous gift of 100 million yen, or approximately $850,000 from Chubu University. It was renamed Yamada International House in honor of Chubu's late President and Chancellor Kazuo Yamada.

Yamada International House was dediated in June 2004.
