Pivot provides one of the most comprehensive databases available for locating funding opportunities and identifying potential collaborators. This resource is available to all Ohio University faculty, staff and student at https://pivot.proquest.com/funding_main to search for external funding opportunities for scientific research, artistic pursuits, equipment and facilities, program development, publishing, travel, scholarships and fellowships. Sources include U.S. federal, U.S. state and local, private foundations, professional societies and associations, and international governmental and private entities. If you are interested in an opportunity that is not listed in Pivot, please contact the ORSP Service Center at orsp@ohio.edu.

Creating Intent to Submit

How to Create an Intent to Submit through Pivot
Use the share feature located near the top right corner of the funding opportunity that you have found in Pivot to notify ORSP of your interest to apply toward the opportunity. Include the following information:
- name and title of the principal investigator and co-investigators, departmental affiliation,
- planned proposal title
- summary statement about the project (if available).

How to Create an Intent to Submit for a Limited Submission through Pivot
Use the share feature located near the top right corner of the funding opportunity that you have found in Pivot to notify ORSP by the internal deadline of your interest to apply toward the Limited Submission opportunity. Include the following information:
- name and title of the principal investigator and co-investigators, departmental affiliation,
- planned proposal title
- summary statement about the project (if available).
