Innovation Center
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT:
The Ohio University Innovation Center is an entrepreneurial support studio with a focus on supporting new and emerging technology ventures. Created in 1983, the award-winning center was the first university-based business incubator in the State of Ohio and just the 12th in the United States. The 36,000 square foot facility was built in 2003 and renovated in 2022.
CAPABILITIES OF THE EQUIPMENT:
The Innovation Center provides a considerable range of resources including, but not limited to, the following:
- Areas for professional use including office space, light scale manufacturing spaces, wet labs, shared use spaces, shipping and receiving with loading dock, and conference spaces.
- Access to seasoned expert professionals who coach early stage ventures on strategic operations and provide erudite insight.
- Connections to resources including investors, third-party service providers, vendor discounts, mentors, first customers, research partners, and business incentives.
- Shared access to exclusive equipment including professional office, tooling, and laboratory equipment.
