The Ohio University Police Department, a full service police agency, and The City of Athens Police Department have a mutual aid agreement and work tirelessly to address sexual assault in our community.

Cats Late Night Shuttle

OHIO Transportation and Parking runs night and weekend shuttle service to provide a safe and secure method for travel across campus.

Training Opportunities

  • ALiCE Training


    OUPD offers free Active Threat training to help prepare the community for an active shooter. Call OUPD at 740.593.1911 and ask to speak with Lt. Brittney VanBibber to schedule ALiCE training for your group.
  • Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Classes


    The Ohio University Police Department offers Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Classes for students each semester and is working to add more classes.

  • Emergency Response Training


    Ohio University Emergency Management offers assistance in preparing emergency plans and can assist with the design and execution of table top exercises. For more information contact Jill Harris, Emergency Programs Manager.
