Bruce Hennes

Bruce Hennes is CEO of Hennes Communications, one of the few firms in North America focused exclusively on crisis management and crisis communications.

With a client list that includes Goodyear, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Avery Dennison and Ohio University, Hennes Communications serves over 180 clients a year in virtually every market sector – including scores of law firms and their clients - most of which are “on trial” in the Court of Public Opinion.  

Bruce currently serves on the board of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and he chairs Leadership Cleveland’s Selection Committee.  He is also an adjunct professor at CSU’s College of Urban Affairs and on the faculties of the Ohio State Bar Association Leadership Academy, the Ohio Certified Public Manager Program and the Winding River Managing Partner Boot Camp.  

Bruce is well-known across the country, especially amongst the legal community, having done numerous seminars for the American Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Institute and as a featured speaker for such organizations as the National School Boards Association, the Council of School Attorneys, the American Health Care Association and at state bar conferences across the country.

Recently, for the fourth year in a row, Bruce was named to the Lawdragon 100 Leading Consultants and Strategists, the definitive guide to the financiers, recruiters, marketing and communication gurus on whom the legal profession relies. According to Lawdragon, "These are 100 of the most trusted advisors to the legal profession." 

Bruce has been named three times by Cleveland Magazine to their list of the 500 Most Powerful People in Northeast Ohio -- which would actually be much more impressive if it were the list of the 50 Most Powerful People in Northeast Ohio, but it wasn’t -------and he isn’t.
