Patty Mitchell is an artist and social entrepreneur specializing in collaborations between artists with and without developmental differences. Her expertise is shifting sheltered workshops/day programs into collaborative making spaces and designing employment opportunities through the interests and abilities of the workers. Mitchell founded Passion Works Studio in Athens (1998). With Susan Dlouhy, she co-authored Upcycling Sheltered Workshops: A Revolutionary Approach to Transforming Workshops into Creative Spaces (Swallow Hills press) and several articles in Health Communication.
