Podcast Studio

Located in the heart of the Schoonover lobby, our Podcast Studio is available for students with a Scripps major to reserve throughout the year. Featuring recording equipment and enough space for at least four people to record together, the Pod is a fully-equipped and convenient way to get your podcast idea rolling! We built the studio with our students in mind—whether you’re pursuing a podcasting certificate or independently exploring the world’s most popular audio storytelling medium, the Pod is a great resource.

Our Space

Available in up to three-hour increments, the recording studio is soundproofed and comfortable. To reserve a time slot, just stop by the welcome desk in the Schoonover lobby and ask one of our friendly Scripps ambassadors for a podcast studio reservation form.

There is no charge for using the Pod.

Equipment

• Four Shure SM7B dynamic studio microphones
• A set of Sony studio headphones for each microphone
• The mixer board, a Rodecaster Pro integrated podcast production console

How to Save Recordings

• An iMac computer is available in the studio. Log in with your OHIO ID and record to your preferred app.
• Bring your own laptop and connect the board via USB.
• The Rodecaster Pro has an integrated Micro USB channel and user-friendly interface controls for saving recordings.
