Rio Connection: Gallipolis Focus on Science Instruction [2012]

This is a report on evaluation findings of the Rio Connection: Gallipolis Focus on Science Instruction project.The project was a one-year collaborative endeavor among the University of Rio Grande (URG), The Gallia Vinton Educational Service Center (GV-ESC) and Gallipolis City School District (GCSD) and was funded by the Ohio Board of Regents.The purpose of the project was to provide high quality professional development for science teachers in grades 3-8. Collaborating with faculty at URG and the Gallia-Vinton ESC and utilizing a coaching professional development model, GCSD science teachers were provided professional development and individual coaching in scientific inquiry, earth science, and space science during the project.
