Spring Member Challenge
Spring 2020 WellWorks Members’ Health and Wellness Challenge: Relax and Recover
What does relaxation and recovery look like for you? It can be easy to overlook how we’re caring for our bodies, minds and spirits. This spring, WellWorks wants to help you be more mindful about how you focus on relaxation and recovery. It’s good to put yourself first and take the time you need to feel complete. Whether that means you committed to a hard workout, deep breathing, mindful eating, or other, use this challenge as a way to track what you’re doing for yourself and how you felt after completing it.
WellWorks is challenging our members to track activities and emotions relating to your efforts to relax and recover from February 10 – April 17. Members who track at least 30 days’ worth of relaxation and recovery efforts will be placed in a drawing for one lucky winner to receive a $20 WellWorks coupon.
Need ideas for how to relax or recover? Our Wellness Specialists will be offering weekly tips at the front desk for new ways to incorporate relaxation and recovery into your routine.
Full Challenge details:
• The challenge begins on Monday, February 10 at 5:45 a.m. and concludes on Friday, April 17 at 8:00 p.m.
• Participants must opt-in to the Challenge at the front desk by writing their name and member ID on a Challenge Tracking Sheet. The last day to opt-in is March 19, 2020.
• The Challenge runs for 68 calendar days, but only 30 days are required to “complete” the Challenge.
• Any individual with a current membership is eligible to participate in the Challenge.
• Each day the member wishes to track their activity and emotion, the member can simply: ask the front desk for their Challenge Tracking Sheet; jot down their thoughts; choose an emoji that matches how they felt, and; have a Wellness Specialist initial in the space provided.
• The Challenge Tracking Sheets will remain at the front desk.
• Only one day’s of activity can be tracked each day. (Example: if a member participated in relaxation activities over the weekend but did not come to WellWorks both days, the member cannot track both Saturday and Sunday upon arriving on Monday.)
• Relaxation/Recovery efforts do not need to occur at WellWorks to be valid, but they do need to be tracked and validated at WellWorks via a signature from a Wellness Specialist.
• Wellness Specialists will not read our members’ entries so as to offer our members privacy. They will only ensure that an entry was made prior to initialing.
• Any activity that the member personally feels supports their relaxation or recovery efforts is valid. WellWorks will not define or limit these activities as they are different for every person.
• Members are able to opt-in after the start date.
• The Challenge runs for 67 calendar days, but only 30 days are required to “complete” the Challenge.
• Any member who successfully completes 30 days of tracking will be entered into a drawing to win a $20 WellWorks coupon. (The coupon can be used toward any WellWorks expenditure such as memberships, massage therapy, nutrition counseling, personal training, or functional movement screening. The coupon will remain on the member’s account for one year or until all funds are utilized, whichever comes first. The coupon is non-transferrable. The coupon is not redeemable for cash.)
• An additional 15 names of members who successfully complete the Challenge will be drawn to win wellness prizes such as essential oil rollers and jump ropes. • Winners will be alerted of their prize via email. Members are encouraged to verify that the email address on record in their account is accurate.
• Winners will have 30 days to claim their prize.
• WellWorks reserves the right to announce the names of winners on social media.
• Members are encouraged to take their Challenge Tracking Sheets following the drawing of names so they can appropriately analyze how their relaxation and recovery efforts may have evolved throughout the course of the challenge.
