Jocelyn was attracted to aviation when she had the opportunity to take a flight in a friend’s Cessna. After considering various colleges, she decided to attend Ohio University for the extraordinary flight program, the close-knit bond the students have, and the beautiful campus. She is the first person in her family to aspire to be a pilot.
Jocelyn has received her Private Pilot’s Certificate and Instrument Rating. She is currently working towards her Commercial Pilot Certificate. Over the summer of 2021, Jocelyn interned as a dispatcher at the Ohio University Airport. After Jocelyn graduates, she plans on instructing new students before working in either the commercial sector or private sector of aviation.
Jocelyn is the president of OHIO’s chapter of Women in Aviation and is a member of the aviation business fraternity, Alpha Eta Rho. In her spare time, Jocelyn enjoys hanging out with friends, dancing, reading, and watching Netflix.
