Nick Paolo
Nick is a senior studying Industrial and Systems Engineering from Powell, Ohio – a town 20 miles north of Columbus. Nick chose Ohio University due to the opportunities provided by the Russ College, the beautiful campus, and his two older brothers studying at Ohio.
Nick came to Athens as an undecided engineering student and decided to study ISE due to the mathematics and statistics used in the field. The continuous improvement mindset of an Industrial Engineer also resonated with Nick and was another reason for the decision.
At Ohio University, Nick has done undergraduate research with Dr. Felipe Aros-Vera working on the IBM Human-Trafficking Analysis Hub. A tool used to determine the risk of human trafficking in a specific region. Nick has also been a Teaching Assistant for Supply Chain Engineering.
This past Summer, Nick interned with MillerKnoll as a Supply Chain & Manufacturing Data Analyst Intern. His projects included constructing KPI dashboards presenting the performance of distribution facilities and the accuracy of forecasting models.
In his free time, Nick enjoys staying active by lifting weights, running, and golfing. He also enjoys watching football, and spending time with friends and family.
