Katie Clarke
Katie is currently studying Computer Science at the Russ College of Engineering while working towards certificates in Diversity Studies and Social Media. She is from Charlotte, North Carolina. Growing up, she would pass Athens, Ohio while visiting family at The Ohio State University and fell in love with the campus and program her senior year of high school. Katie first experienced coding in high school while taking AP Computer Science Principles. She loved how solving a code is like finding the missing piece in a puzzle.
For extra curriculars, Katie is a part of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Society of Women Engineers, and works as an Undergraduate Admissions Tour Guide. Within her involvement in Alpha Delta Pi, she currently serves as the Vice President of Panhellenic Relations and is a committee member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Over the summer, she interned at Alpha Delta Pi’s Memorial Headquarters, which is an international non-profit organization in Atlanta, Georgia. She gained knowledge on professional development through networking at Mercedes Benz and Delta Airline’s headquarters, collaborating with each department through workshops, and attending a week-long conference.
