Graduate Non-Degree Seeking Application
Before submitting an application, make sure you are familiar with the minimum requirements for admission and have reviewed the application deadlines listed below.
Non-degree status allows you to register for graduate courses without admission to a degree-seeking program. Admission as a non-degree student and successful completion of coursework while in non-degree status does not constitute admission to a degree program. To have a degree conferred you must apply and be admitted to the appropriate degree program. Unless otherwise noted, non-degree status is not eligible for federal financial aid.
If you are currently enrolled in graduate status at Ohio University and wish to add a certificate, submit the Update of Graduate Academic Program form [PDF].
On-Campus Programs: Persons interested in applying to Athens campus programs should reach out to the academic program directly before applying.
Online Programs: Generally, students that reside outside of the United States are not eligible to enroll in an online program. Ohio University also is unable to provide immigration support to international students in online programs. If you would like to discuss your specific situation in order to determine eligibility for admission to an online program, reach out to an OHIO Online enrollment advisor before applying.
