Belpre City School District
Belpre City Schools currently has two afterschool programs. The elementary program operates at Belpre Elementary serving children from kindergarten through sixth grade. This program is funded by a Nina M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant through the Ohio Department of Education. The program now serves over 30 students. In addition to the tutoring and extra help from elementary teachers, students are also receiving a nutritious snack, math and reading intervention, and academic enrichment activities.
The High School program is also funded through Nina M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center funds as well serving students in grades 7 through 12. Students receive a snack and some free time directly after school to transition into the program. Students participate in a wide variety of activities and enjoy spending time in clubs of their choosing.
