Internship Policy [PDF]

All undergraduate journalism majors must complete at least one internship to graduate. The internship is designed to provide students with hands-on professional experience outside the classroom while they develop professional contacts and a competitive edge in job placement. The internship must be:

• a minimum of 200 contact hours with the same employer in the student’s field of study, and
• pre-approved by the student’s academic adviser. Internship pre-approval form

At the end of the internship, the student’s supervisor and the student will evaluate the student's performance by completing this online internship evaluation form.
