Who is the Ohio University mascot?
The Ohio University mascot is Rufus T. Bobcat (the "T" stands for "The"). A bobcat's Latin name is lynx rufus, and one of OU's founders was named Rufus Putnam. Rufus' name is an homage to our founder and the Latin name for a bobcat.
