OhioLINK Receives Funding for Additional Resources
OhioLINK officially announced today that they have procured access to critical resources with funds made available through the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) funding. Resources new to Ohio University Libraries:

JoVE Core + Lab Manual Combo
Access Dates: January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2023 (2 years of availability)
JoVE Science Education videos teach science concepts and laboratory methods through engaging and easy-to-understand visual demonstrations, making remote instruction more effective when in-person lab demonstrations are difficult or not possible. The JoVE Core product is the equivalent of a video textbook, using high-impact animations to explain scientific concepts clearly for students. JoVE Lab Manuals for Biology and Chemistry are online alternatives to a comprehensive lab manual and contain Instructor Prep, Concepts, and Student Protocol videos for each lab offered. LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) apps designed by JoVE allow instructors to easily find and embed content into Learning Management System (LMS) pages for on and off campus viewing.

Films on Demand (FOD) offers a large variety of curriculum-focused, streaming video titles from producers such as Films for the Humanities and Sciences, PBS, A&E, History, ABCNews, BBC, NBC News, Biography, National Geographic, and others. Special features allow users the ability to organize and bookmark clips, share playlists, personalize folders, and manage their entire collection. LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) apps designed by FOD allow instructors to easily find and embed FOD videos into Learning Management System (LMS) pages for on and off campus viewing.
Wiley Cochrane Library
Access: January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2021 (1 year of availability). Note: This content will be available statewide for all Ohioans.
Wiley Cochrane Library is a collection of databases containing high-quality, independent evidence to inform health care decision-making. The Cochrane Library includes the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR), the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), and Cochrane Clinical Answers. It can be searched for a particular topic or disease and will return results on clinical trials, reviews, methods, studies, and clinical answers, and is suited for use as supplemental course materials at the undergraduate and graduate levels, for technology assessments and economic evaluations.
