Cleveland Clinic/Ohio University

Access to Student Health Services

Purpose: To outline protocols supporting the collaboration of the Cleveland Clinic and Ohio University provision of healthcare in the greater Cleveland area for medical students attending
the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Cleveland campus.

Physical Health Care

From a Ohio University perspective, the CLEVELAND campus is a location. As a location, Ohio University students at the CLEVELAND campus will enjoy the benefits of the group insurance plans for students available on the Athens campus--UnitedHealth Care. Because of the volume of students handled through Ohio University, the insurance is offered at a reasonable rate. Spouses and children can also be added for an additional fee. The current plan includes Cleveland Clinic locations located throughout Greater Cleveland. With the Ohio University’s major affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic, the CLEVELAND campus
students will be encouraged to utilize the services of the Cleveland Clinic located throughout the Greater Cleveland area.
