Holding Pattern

holding our breath, holding it together, without holding hands
holding minds, holding thoughts
holding hearts, from 6 feet apart
we walk, we talk, we stand
trying desperately to do what life demands…commands of us
washing our hands clean of one another
feverishly at times, sanitizing our minds
are we blind?
looking all around – are we lost or are we found?
we exist. profound.
